Mr. Eden would be grateful if a telegram could

be sent to the Governor of Hong Kong to inform him of the impending arrival of Dr. Robertson and of the other two units, and if he could see his way to grant to them during their stay in Hong Kong all proper facilities for the

effective conduct of their mission.

A further communication will be sent to

Mr. Ormsby-Gore as soon as the personnel of the rest

of the British Unit are known.

A copy of a despatch which Mr. Eden has

addressed to His Majesty's Chargé d'Affaires in China

is also enclosed.
